IDEA PER UNA PRESENZA NEL DESERTO/ IDEA FOR A PRESENCE IN THE DESERT

The work reflects on the perception of the landscape as a thought, through the visualization of a desert’s maquette. The maquette itself proposes the image of the hypothetical project in the future; therefore it moves the concept of image at the antithetical point of the one of memory, becoming a mental landscape. The vision of the landscape occurs not when we see what we have in front but when we are projecting its idea into the future. On the table the maquette is the vision of a project to be done in the desert; this installation reports the experience of the artist above the Sahara’s desert sky, along with her search for the right place to realize an imaginary intervention on its surface.
