Untitled (alien stone) consists in a series of black and white photographs of a false meteorite placed near a lake. The images were taken by my father, a former landscape photographer, to whom I asked to dialogue with the new landscape through its shots in my presence, inviting him to recreate the work using his own personal view. The work contains in itself my father’s interpretation of the work, as well as its reproduction through the photos. Walking around the rock during his personal re-reading, "the photographer" has always kept a certain monumental distance from the meteorite, while I was trying to get closer: in fact, often my figure appears inside the photos. The work is rooted in the relationship of distance, respect and disrespect, communication difficulties, between father and daughter, where the distance that the two kept from the meteorite, is the measure of such unknown limits. The meteorite resides at the center of the diatribe triggering a dialogue, incorporating the element of estrangement between the two and being the fulcrum of their communication. The series produced is a version that recreates a detached surface of the intervention itself, and of the concept of “meteorite”. .
