Part of the work’s title is taken from the definition of “Xerox”, the brand that produces printers and photocopiers
(Xerox machines). The work in its complex draws from gestures and standard behaviors from past,
present and future demonstrators, which have different meanings depending on locations and revolutions.
The performance is the consequence of a part of the work exhibited inside the gallery: an image of a woman
lying on her bed with a raised fist, printed on a mouse pad. The presence of the girl outside the gallery with
a silver cap, wants to bring her involvement in an experience, which is happening far from the artist’s home:
the instambul’s 2013 summer clashes. The ambivalence of the double approach is determined by her interest,
by which she could only imagine to be part of - when her presence in the city becomes real, only after the
events have occurred.
