Madeinfilandia 2012, Pieve a Presciano, (Ar)

Two riders with their horses enter the Madeinfilandia’s airstrip and start executing training exercises and enigmatic paths attracting the public. Each time the visitors approach the performers run away taking other positions in the space, where they start exercising again. The public wonders on what to do, and what it is supposed to be followed; at a certain point the two performers disrupt towards them splitting the public group into many little satellites. The work reflect on the status of the performance itself not on the side of the presentation of a show, but as a consequence of facts that as an event highlights and creates the public’s and performers’ territories. In line with the concept of absolute dance, this capacity is not only deserved to the performers but to the public as well, which usually tends to submit or just to look at “it”. Therefore they are involved into an articulated dance that becomes real thanks to the urgency of establishing the limits and territories.
