“Green Desert” is a video work commissioned by TATE Modern in occasion of Henri Matisse’s exhibition: “The Cut-Outs”. Taking inspiration from Matisse’s team of assistants, with whom he processed the cut-outs inside his studio, the video focuses on the phenomenology of the imagination of the single individual via a performative approach. This event gains consistency throughout the video without narration; instead its process of creation is revealed by animations and green screen technology, which become actions.
