Warm Waters is conceived by the artist as a portrait of a young man, over his presence along different seaside locations of Italy, where he was born, and Brazil, where he grew up. The seaside environments crossed by the protagonist and other adventurers, are host of the borders between the earth and the sea, mixing the arrival and the departure events within an area of indecision. Here, a narration is activated without the proper articulation of a story; instead it reveals the detached and consequential aspects of a series of encounters, where no definite temporal connections occur, if not between events. The author invites the main character to take part to this scenario constellated and fragmented by events and encounters, as with the dialogue between two birds, deliberately inspired by two of José Saramago’s imaginary alter egos.
Warm Waters was shot in Puglia (Italy), Rio De Janeiro (Brazil) and in Barra de Mamanguape, Paraiba (Brazil).
